Over the last few years, the volume of email infections have increase dramatically. Spammers pose as delivery companies and banks for example. They attach programs to zip files, and once opened install and execute.

These emails are looking more legitimate and convincing, and people really fall for them. Even when there are spam filters in pace, the simple rule is “Don’t open an email if you’re not sure who its from, and even if you know them, if it looks malicious / suspicious it probably is”.
